Skiing and snowboarding can be enjoyed by everyone and at many
different skill levels. Regardless of how you enjoy the slope,
always show courtesy to others.
Observe the guidelines listed below and share with your fellow
skiers and snowboarders the responsibility of a great snow
experience.
DO:
- Observe and follow slope signs for
designated beginner, intermediate, advanced and closed areas
- Follow instructions and advice from
staff
- Ski or board on slopes that correspond to
your skill level
- Be courteous to others; give way to others,
respect their equipment
- Cross the slope only if absolutely necessary
and when it is safe to do so. Make sure you are visible to skiers
or boarders coming down the slope.
- Always stay in control and be able to stop
and avoid people and objects. People ahead of you have the right of
way. It is your responsibility to avoid them.
- Whenever starting downhill or merging into a
run, look uphill and yield to others
- Follow all safety procedures for using the
chairlift and tow lift at all times
DON'T:
- Attempt a run that is too difficult and risk
injuring yourself or others
- Pass at high speed or ski or board
recklessly. Stay in control at all times.
- Stop where you obstruct a run or are not
visible to other skiers and boarders
- Use the chair lift or tow lift without prior
instruction and knowledge to load, ride and unload safely.
